1. General Provisions

1.1 NUST Connected is an innovative online learning platform launched by NUST, Pakistan's leading university, designed to offer learners a diverse range of high-quality educational courses. This platform aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing accessible, cutting-edge, and practical learning opportunities.
1.2 These Terms and Conditions govern your use of NUST Connected, including all features, functionalities, and services offered through the platform. By accessing or using the platform, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these terms.
1.3 NUST Connected reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Users are encouraged to periodically review these terms to stay informed of any updates or changes.

2. Eligibility

2.1 NUST Connected welcomes learners from all regions within Pakistan and internationally, making it a global platform that caters to a diverse audience.
2.2 While the platform is designed for individuals of all ages, users below the age of 18 are generally not the primary target audience. However, under specific circumstances, younger applicants may enroll with explicit permission from a parent, guardian, or authorized entity.
2.3 NUST Connected reserves the right to accept, decline, or request additional verification for any enrollment based on the specific requirements of the course or platform.

3. Enrollment and Fees

3.1 All courses offered on the platform are exclusively paid and require full payment before granting access to course materials. No free courses are available, and discounts or promotional offers, if applicable, will be explicitly mentioned on the platform.
3.2 Users are responsible for ensuring that they complete the payment process through the available and approved payment methods, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, or other modes as specified by NUST Connected.
3.3 Once payment is confirmed, the user gains access to the respective course. Fees paid are non-refundable unless explicitly stated under the refund policy.

4. Course Formats

4.1 NUST Connected offers two primary types of courses designed to cater to various learning needs:
4.1.1 Cohort-Based Courses: These courses involve scheduled classes, live sessions, group discussions, and direct interaction with instructors. Such courses are structured and adhere to predefined timelines.
4.1.2 Self-Paced Courses: These allow users to learn independently, providing flexibility to access materials anytime and complete the course at their own pace.
4.2 NUST Connected reserves the right to modify course structures, schedules, content, or formats as necessary. Such modifications are made to enhance the overall learning experience and accommodate changing requirements.

5. Certificates

5.1 Upon successfully completing a course and fulfilling all requirements, including assessments, users will be awarded a certificate of completion. Certificates serve as a testament to the skills and knowledge acquired during the course.
5.2 Currently, these certificates are non-credit bearing. However, NUST Connected retains the discretion to introduce credit-bearing certificates in the future, aligning with academic and industry standards.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 All content on the platform, including but not limited to videos, reading materials, quizzes, graphics, and branding elements, is the intellectual property of NUST Connected or its respective creators.
6.2 Unauthorized use, reproduction, sharing, or distribution of course materials or platform content in any form is strictly prohibited. Any violations may lead to legal action and immediate suspension of access.

7. User Conduct

7.1 Users are expected to maintain a respectful and professional demeanour in all interactions on the platform, including but not limited to discussions, assignments, and direct communication with instructors or peers.
7.2 Plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited and may result in penalties, including revocation of certificates or permanent removal from the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 NUST Connected strives to provide an uninterrupted, secure, and valuable learning experience. However, the platform and its content are provided "as-is" without any explicit or implied warranties.
8.2 NUST Connected is not liable for any damages, losses, or disruptions resulting from technical issues, server downtime, or third-party errors. Users are encouraged to reach out to support for assistance in such cases at info@connected.nust.edu.pk.

9. Modifications to Terms

9.1 These Terms and Conditions are subject to updates and changes as deemed necessary by NUST Connected.
9.2 Continued use of the platform following any modifications signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing Law

10.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the policies of NUST ConnectEd and NUST institute and Law of Pakistan.
10.2 Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive respective jurisdiction.
