Dr. Yasar Ayaz
Dr. Yasar Ayaz is a distinguished academic and researcher in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, currently serving as a Professor at the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (SMME) at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, Pakistan. With a PhD in Robotics and Machine Intelligence from Tohoku University, Japan, Dr. Ayaz is the Founding Chairman and Central Project Director of the National Center of Artificial Intelligence (NCAI) in Pakistan. Under his leadership, NCAI has developed over 221 AI products, positioning Pakistan as a global leader in AI research and development.

Dr. Ayaz’s research contributions span more than 150 international publications, focusing on humanoid robotics, robot navigation, and intelligent systems. He has been recognized with numerous awards, including the President’s Pride of Performance Award and the PEC Excellence Award.
Dr. Ayaz is also credited with establishing Pakistan's first MS and PhD programs in Robotics and Intelligent Machine Engineering at NUST, cementing his legacy as a key figure in advancing AI and robotics both nationally and internationally.
